Feijoa Blossoms

The inherant shallow depth of field and the beautiful buttery bokeh a quality lens produces creates stunning effect. The diffuculty was the breeze, enough to move the flowers a few milimetres in and out of focus so it took a few shots to get this one. Finally I used a flash to “stop” the anther movement capturing them “in focus”.
Nikon D4, Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 lens, Nikon TCE1.4 teleconverter, Canon 500D closeup filter lens, remote triggered off-camera SB-910 Nikon flash unit
ISO 100, 280 mm, f/2.8, 1/800 seconds exposure, aperture priority mode, auto focus, hand held
Capture One Pro 8 for raw conversion, sharpened, light and colour adjusted and exported to JPEG.
