Male Bellbird

New Zealand male bellbird, Anthornis melanura. The dark wing tips and tail denote the males and like the New Zealand Native Tui, is a honey eater evidenced by the protruding tongue. Also like the Tui, the Bellbird song is a unique, melodic and a very “big” sound for a small bird
